Brazil Flood Victims Seminar

Brazil Flood Victims Relief

Black Belt, Stan Hendrick, and TRIUNE Jiu-Jitsu organized/hosted a fundraiser Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1731 North First Street, Suite B, San Jose, CA 95112. TRIUNE Jiu-Jitsu hosted the fundraiser to assist in relief efforts for flood victims in Brazil. Thousands of people have lost their homes and loved-ones due to mudslides, floods, and many other hardships related to the massive amounts of rain.

Brazil Flood Victims Seminar

The seminar consisted of 10 Black Belt instructors, including Daniel Thomas, who taught specific techniques. There were discussions about ways to further improve the role and image of a BJJ practitioner within his/her community, family, and self. The seminar raised $1,050.00 and all of it was donated to Red Cross International and designated for the flood relief efforts in Brazil.

Rob Capili was promoted to Purple Belt, November 1, 2010. Daniel described him perfectly in class during the promotion. Indeed it is an honor to roll with Rob as he constantly inspires Team Zeus to train like champions, always helping his teammates improve their own BJJ game.
